In December 2007 Peru
Treks invited 18 children from the Tiracanchi School on a 3 day tour
of Cusco, Sacsayhuaman, Tambomachay, Machu Picchu and Pisac. For all
but one of the kids this was the first time outside their village!
Everything was a new experience for them: first time on a bus, first
ice-cream, first time in a restaurant, first train ride !! This is the
year year running that we have organized this tour for the children
finishing primary school before starting high school (school
promotion). At the end of the tour all the kids received an album
containing photos of their trip and a Christmas present. |
